For the second year running, Fraser Hobday walked away with two player of the year awards.

The goalkeeper who was voted Under 20s and young player of the season one year ago picked up the young player of the year for the second straight year as well as being named the Supporters Club Player of the Year for 2014/15.

He admitted it was a great honour in his first full season in the Highland League as he looks to help the club rise up the league

“It’s an honour to win the two awards. It’s a proud moment for me but the hard work has paid off and next season we’re going to into pre-season working hard and aiming for more as a team. I think we could aim for the top four or five next season and hopefully we can push for that with players coming in and there’s no reason why we can’t do that. We’ve got a great squad and it’s a real family club and that could help us make a push next season. “

With his own team mates voting for him in the young player awards and the supporters club members giving him their vote in the other the 19 year old was please to get the recognition from those on the pitch and on the terraces.

“To win the supporters club player of the year is a great achievement and to win young player of the year again knowing your team mates have voted for is another great achievement in itself so I take that on board and looking to build on that for next season.”

With the black and gold’s season ended on April 18th and the playing squad not scheduled to return for pre-season until next month, the young Englishman admitted he’s started in his preparations for the 2015/16 campaign early.

“Jamie Fraser contacted me and we both agreed we should probably start training early to ensure we can advance ourselves for next season and we were both keen to get back doing our thing early and we had a session last week and worked hard. I enjoy working with Jamie as he gives you the enthusiasm you need and he makes you work hard and we’ll take that on board going into pre-season and hopefully help to bring some silverware back to the club and put it back to where the club should be as I believe Huntly should be up at the other end of the league.”
