Firstly, may I say what a privilege it is to be connected with Huntly FC.

It has been obvious when looking from the outside, in, that the Chairman and Committee have been making good progress in the last few years and that has been borne out of this seasons results.

I'm sure there were some scratching of heads after the departure of Tommy and Andy, but at the end of the day, decisions are made and the club moves on.

My remit is to continue the progress being made on and off the park, with the Committee looking for the squad to grow and improve together and also harness the youth.

Gary and Martin have been rewarded by the club for their maturity by becoming player / coaches as the club looks to the longer term, whilst I, have managed to secure the services of my trusty right hand man 'Cotter', to help me with this progression.

We are delighted to have extended the contract of Craig Reid. We are fully aware that a proven CB is quickly required to fill the void left by Kieran Adams. We have a few irons in the fire on this front, but it's a difficult task at this time of year. However, I was unable to pass up the opportunity to win over the signature of Cammy Booth, who should prove to be a good signing for the midfield area, giving us more flexibility.

On the game front, I was impressed with our quality during the Strathspey game and also against Formartine, up until the point that we collapsed under the pressure of dropping down to 10 men.

The recent Fraserburgh result was a bad day for sure, this time playing almost 40 minutes with 9 men.

The picture for me is becoming clearer as we look at the squad. Without doubt we have quality. I have no desire to change too much at this stage as the system obviously has been working, but I am however looking at how we can strengthen and be more flexible as we work predominantly with a tight squad of 18, but also, our discipline is clearly a factor that needs work at this stage.
