There was more transfer activity at Christie Park this morning with a second player leaving the club in as many weeks.

Huntly top scorer David Booth’s third spell at the club ended this morning when the Alford based forward completed a move to Turriff United.

Booth who turned 29 last week originally debuted for the black and gold’s in May 2004 coming off the bench against league champions Clachnacuddin in a 3-1 win at Christie Park.

Injury prevented him taking any part in Huntly’s league championship win the following season and he soon moved on Formartine United and latterly East End in the junior ranks before Dave McGinlay took him back to Huntly in August 2009.

That month he netted his first Huntly goal in a 4-1 home win over Lossiemouth. his second spell at the club would come to an end after new Manager John Teasdale sold him to Banks O’ Dee months after signing a new contract extension.

When Dave McGinlay returned as Huntly Manager just a year later he’d make a move to take Booth back to club once again. Over his three spells at the club, the player netted 59 goals in 187 squad appearances.
