There has been some more transfer activity at Christie Park today with one player coming in and another heading out on loan.

Days after loaning out goalkeeper Jamie Fraser to junior side Parkvale, Huntly have added another to their squad with the addition of Andrew Pennycook.

Pennycook featured for the black and gold’s in friendly matches against Spartans and Alloa Athletic and has been on the bench for their opening two league fixtures this season.

The 6 foot 6 shotstopper has previous experience in the junior ranks starting out with Crossgates Primrose prior to a short spell at Falkirk Juniors. From there he moved onto Kilsyth Rangers and most recently West Calder United.

Speaking on his latest addition signing a one year contract, Manager Gregg Carrol said: “Andrew is a big keeper – literally and came in during pre-season with us after moving up to Elgin for work. Our new goalkeeping coach Nigel Burgess put us in touch with him but despite not playing for a while but he’s got every attribute to be a good goalkeeper and we’re happy to get him in.”

The latest player to head out on loan is winger Sam Harrison. Harrison joined the club last summer after playing for junior side Dufftown. The 20 year old was in the squad for every game of the 2014/15 season but only started on six occasions. Sam is now set to play in the junior ranks this season with Glentanar.
