After four players being placed on the transfer list, Manager John Teasdale confirmed that the first of them is to leave the club.

A deal has been agreed which will see striker Michael Ewen join Highland League newcomers Turriff United.

Breaking the news this morning Teasdale said: "Michael came to Huntly after a successful spell with Deveronvale but sadly it hasn't happened for him at Huntly and it's maybe best that he seeks a fresh start.

We wish him all the best and Turriff have a very enthusiastic management team in Kris Hunter and Brian Thomson who are wanting to build the club up and it's a great chance for Michael to be part of that."

Ewen joined the black and golds in summer 2008 after scoring 45 times in 81 games for Deveronvale. Ewen scored nine times in his first season under Dave McGinlay however after failing to turn up for the final game of the season he was transfer listed by the club. The striker was given a second chance by McGinlay and got off to a good start netting the winner on the opening day of the season against Fraserburgh.

On Saturday 1st May he matched his tally for last season scoring in the 3-0 win away to Lossiemouth and in the process ended a goal drought which saw him go over 900 minutes without scoring. He has netted 18 times in 75 squad appearances.
