Huntly have bolstered their striking options with their latest new addition ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Turriff United forward Angus Grant has today signed on a three year deal.

Angus spent four seasons at The Haughs scoring 30 goals over 77 appearances and after leaving Turriff  and the 22 year old is looking forward to the next chapter of his Highland League career.

He said: “I am delighted to sign for such a great club in Huntly FC. The direction where Allan Hale wants to take the club in the future is very positive and something I am very pleased to be a part of.

The club ambition matches my own and I am looking forward to putting in the hard work on the training park to take into the beginning of the new season.”

Manager Allan Hale was pleased to get the forward signed ahead of pre-season.

He said: “I am delighted to welcome Angus to the club. He fits the exact profile of the type of player we want to be bringing to Huntly; someone who has a real drive, determination and ambition to succeed both from a personal and a team perspective.

His desire to come to Huntly and play his part in what we are trying to build at the club shown through and that was something that really pleased me throughout our discussions.

Angus had regularly been top goalscorer within his period at Turriff Utd and I feel we are signing a player who is not only at an age where he will continue to develop but will play a key role in helping us achieve our objectives for the years ahead.

He’s a natural goalscorer and a proven one at this level therefore I’m confident that he is a player that the supporters of Huntly will quickly take to.”
