Huntly have added to their squad ahead of tonight’s Scottish Cup second round trip to Dumbarton.

Fergus Alberts (18) has joined the club on a three year contract until summer 2024 and was previously played youth football with Montrose and Cove Rangers and was most recently turning out for juvenile side Lewis United Rangers.

Having impressed while training with Huntly, Manager Allan Hale is looking forward to helping develop the promising forward.

He said: “I am pleased to welcome Fergus to the club. Prior to lockdown we had offered Fergus the opportunity to train with us and he has applied himself very well in training therefore we were happy to offer him a contract.

Fergus is a big, strong striker who has pace and good finishing qualities. Fergus is young but has a lot of potential to develop into an important player for the club therefore we look forward to seeing his development within his time with us.”
