Huntly have added to their squad ahead of the new season with a new loaning from Cove Rangers.

Defender, Rhys Thomas (18) has completed a loan from the former Highland League side and will be at Christie Park for the duration of the 2020/21 season.

Speaking on his latest signing, Manager Allan Hale was pleased to bolster his defensive options.

He said: “I’m really happy that we’ve managed to get Rhys in. He was some we earmarked when we took over to get on loan. We tried to make it happen earlier but he went to Keith and with circumstances changing there, Cove had recalled him and thankfully we’ve had the opportunity to get him on board and he’s very much a player we’re looking forward to seeing.”

Hale stated that his new addition to the squad will give them a number of difference defensive options.

He added: “He’s an athletic player who can play in either full back position or he can play in at centre half. He’s six foot two and highly-rated by Paul Hartley and the backroom team at Cove and they’re looking to loan him out to get valuable match experience.”
