Huntly have been handed signing boost with another player signing a new contract extension.

Bradley Manson has completed a new deal to extend his stay at Christie Park until summer 2024.

Manson came into the Highland League in 2015 with Deveronvale before moving on to Keith in March 2017 where he played under Allan Hale. After two years at Kynoch Park he signed for Huntly where he has made 45 appearances since debuting in February 2019.

Manager Allan Hale has praised the attitude of the player who is also versatile in midfield.

He said: “Bradley is a gem of a boy to work with as he has an outstanding attitude, carries himself well and fully commits himself to his football. Away from training he is regularly at the gym, following an individual program, eating healthy etc and it’s that type of character who we want to be working with as it gives us the best possible chance to be successful when players like Bradley really commit themselves to their careers at this level. Bradley is fit, strong, athletic, can handle the ball well, versatile and is another player who is important to our plans for the club.”

With Alexander Thoirs, Logan Johnstone, Reece McKeown and Alexander Jack already committing their future to the club, Hale sees Manson as part of the rebuilding project.

He added: “Bradley, like all of the squad, has really bought into what Stefan and I are aiming to build at the club and it’s great to see him being another member of the squad to commit to the club for the long term as this not only retains a player of his quality but it adds stability to the squad as we aim to progress. This now leaves us in a strong position of stability, with nearly all of the playing squad now signed up on long term contracts with the club.”

Having played under Allan Hale at Keith, Bradley (22) is looking forward to being part of the new-look Huntly side under his new Manager.

He said: “Since the new management team have come in there’s been a great motivation not only for myself but throughout the entire team to improve. The professionalism shown by the management team is infectious and is clearly having a huge impact on the squad and the new vision of Huntly is something I’d like to be part of and give my fullest commitment too.

The big changes have had a massive impact on my decision to sign my contract extension. Huntly is a massive club and I’m excited to see what the promising future holds and I’m looking forward to getting the season started so we can keep on improving.”

Club Chairman Gordon Carter was pleased to see the club tie up another player on a new contract.

He said: “I am delighted to see Bradley sign an extended contract
He is a young talented player and I am sure he will continue to progress under the guidance of Allan and Stefan.”
