Huntly FC have begun building for the coming season and beyond with four players agreeing two year contract extensions to keep them at the club.

Forward Gary McGowan and defensive trio Alexander Jack, Christopher Hay and Cory Ritchie have all agreed to extend their current deals to remain at Christie Park until summer 2020.

Gary McGowan (33), a Highland league Championship and Young Player of the year winner,  returned to the club in July 2016 for a fourth spell after also turning out in the league for Deveronvale, Formartine United and Turriff. The local has 214 appearances for the club scoring 48 goals

Alexander Jack (24) originally debuted as a trialist back in early January and signed initially on a short term deal. The former Elgin City and Keith player worked under Charlie Charlesworth at Deveronvale and has shown his versatility playing across the back four since signing.

Former Caley Thistle youth Cory Ritchie (19) has just completed his second season with the club. He had a loan spell with Glentanar in 2016/17 and was a key part of the Under 20s squad who won the Aberdeenshire League that same season.

Full back Christopher Hay (21) was also a member of our first Aberdeenshire League winning side spent time out on loan to junior sides Lewis United and Glentanar and has impressed since current Manager Charlesworth gave him his first start back in mid-February.
