Huntly had to settle for a share of the points in this afternoon’s derby fixture with Keith after the visitors netted a late equaliser.

With three minutes gone, Angus Grant won a free kick out on the left and from the resultant set piece, Greg Buchan floated the ball into the box for Michael Clark to net with a diving header for his first of the season.

In the ninth minute, Angus Grant got the better of Ryan Robertson only to see his effort just past the post. Two minutes later, a left-footed effort from Buchan was held by Craig Reid after some good build-up from the hosts.
Buchan would turn provider again with a through ball to Grant who chipped the advancing Reid only to see his shot come back off the woodwork.

Angus Grant came close again in the 28th minute seeing a shot blocked by Reid at the near post while two minutes he teed up Marcus Goodall whose low effort was held by Reid.

It took the visitors 38 minutes to register a goal attempt with former Huntly player Tom Andrew firing over with a long range attempt.

Half-Time: Huntly 1 Keith 0

Keith started the second half brightly and Huntly keeper Euan Storrier was called into action with a block against Michael Ironside who was through on goal.

Ten minutes into the half a quick throw from Logan Johnstone set Angus Grant away only for the forward to lift his shot past the woodwork.

Keith goalkeeper Craig Reid impressed on his return to Christie Park and he pulled off a fine save to keep out a powerful Greg Buchan on the hour mark.

A Michael Ironside corner in 76 minutes was played into his namesake Selfridge and the Keith captain came close with a shot narrowly wide of the post.

With ten minutes remaining, Keith netted their first league goal of the season when substitute Przemyslaw Nawrocki rolled in a low shot from the edge of the box for a share of the points.
