Last Saturday, (7th April), the 19's were at home to Kemnay in our final home 19's "A League" game of the season at The Meadows. We were without Scott Cooper (attending a golden wedding), Phil Morrison (unavailable) and Lewis Walker (on holiday) for this fixture against Kemnay who had held us to a 0 - 0 draw a few weeks ago in the reverse fixture. Back into the squad for this match came Craig Gordon and Connor Melville who had missed our last 2 matches.

Today, Saturday 25th February, the Huntly Under 19's were at home to Fraserburgh BC in a 19's "A League" match at a VERY windswept Meadows. This was our first Home outing since the end of Novemeber last year!

Today, Sat 11th Feb, the Huntly Under 19's were in action incredibly for the first time since the start of December last year, due to a combination of frozen pitches and the festive break period. We travelled to Oldmeldrum in this 19's "A League" match to play Formartine Utd Under 19's, we had already beaten them 2 - 0 earlier in the season at The Meadows in the home match in the League.

Yesterday, (Sat 8th Oct), the Huntly Under 19's were at home to local rivals Colony Park in the 1st round of the Sunnybank Shield, at The Meadows. This was the side we had played a few weeks ago, and beaten 3 - 1, to achieve our precious "A League" status. I had told the players that they would come at us, all guns blazing, to try to get revenge for that match, and this is exactly what happened.

Last Saturday, (1st Oct), the Huntly 19's were away to Stonehaven in this "A League" clash. Stonehaven are always tough opponents and have been permanent fixtures in the "A League" for years, so I told the lads to be under no illusions just how hard the game was going to be. We went with 14 travelling players,a decision we have taken (especially in the away matches), to make sure everyone gets on, and gets a runout. I obviously had the really hard job during the week of leaving 2 of the lads out of the squad as a result of this. These lads will get their chance, it is a long season after all!

Last Saturday, 19th November, the Huntly 19's were away to Culter Deeside in a 19's "A" League match at Hazlehead, in Aberdeen. We were looking to bounce back after 5 straight defeats, although admittedly, the 5 defeats have all been against good sides (3 against the top 3 in the "A" League, in fact!), and 2 of the games were only by 1 - 0 margins. For this match we had to do without the services of our top scorer Michael Masson due to an ongoing back injury.

Yesterday, (Sat 24th Sept), the Huntly Under 19's were in "A League" action, away at a fine, sunny (but windy, as always!) Fraserburgh, at The Broch Links against Fraserburgh BC Under 19's. We were looking to bounce back after last weeks superb performance (but ultimately, rather undeserved) 3 -1 defeat, Captain Richie Brown our scorer in that match with a header) against one of the 19's "A League" Favourites Cove BC at The Meadows, Scott Cooper at Left Back was our Man of the Match in that game, without question!

Last Sunday, (30th October), the Huntly Under 19's were in Scottish Cup 3rd round action at Christie Park against Dundee side Domino Utd. Unfortunately we ended up losing the tie 4 - 2. The result tells very little of how the tie panned out, as the Huntly lads played well, but missed loads of chances which, had we taken, we would have made the next round comfortably. As so often happens in Football though, our failure to convert the numerous chances we created came back to bite us in the rear end, big time!

Yesterday, Saturday 10th September, the Huntly Under 19's kicked off their A League campaign at home to our fairly near neighbours Formartine Utd at The Meadows. It was always going to be quite a stiff test for us, due to the really heavy defeat and hard going Scottish F A Youth Cup match (a 10- 1 defeat) last Wednesday against Caley Thistle at Christie Park, that game had drained a fair few of the lads physically and mentally and it was a real test for us to see if we could get that game out of our system only little more than 48 hours or so later.
