Last Saturday morning our team were up very early as kick off was at 11.30am at the Banks o Dee`s, Spain Park. Albions pitch had been a bit wet and covered with a lot of leaves last week and was doubtful for this weeks game; so we played on 4G astro turf. Liam F is still out due to a bad injury picked up on our last Scottish cup tie and is still on crutches but he came along to support the team, well done and thank you. It was not a bad day a bit cold on the side lines but dry. Kevin Goodall was persuaded for the first time this season to do our match report. Congratulations Kev it is the shortest one yet, so I will have to pad it out a bit from what he wrote! The team started poorly and Albion was one up before our boys knew it. Their second came minutes later when the ref failed to notice that they were well off side.Ian had a great chance very early on but unfortunately missed.Albions 3rd goal was the result of some great football and a well taken shot. David then broke through their defence but only managed to clip their goal post. Albions 4th was another well worked goal and the 5th a penalty when their player was brought down in the box. Half time 5-0. Huntly started better in the second half when Ian had a good chance to score but no it was not to be Huntly day. Then Albion was given another pen when they kicked the ball at our defender and it came off his arm. Albion was on form no doubt about it. Final score 9-0. Team- Daniel,Neal,Jamie,Steven,Rory,David, Joe,Jamie,Ross,Craig &Ian. Subs-Liam D,Chris,Ross,Ryan &Micheal. Hard luck boys, pick yourselves up and go out next week knowing that you can play much, much better. Man of the Match- Ian.
