HUNTLY FOOTBALL CLUB

Huntly started off the better of the two teams but found themselves behind after 8 minutes when some dreadful defending by Fraser Sharp gifted the striker the ball in which he made no mistake and put it past Jamie Webster in our goal.1-0 Vale.

Huntly responded instantly when Greg drove in from midfield and finished nicely to make it 1-1.

Huntly now finding a rhythm and getting forward produced another goal on 14 minutes when Gavin hit a shot hard at the keeper only to see if saved and received it back and found Greg who slid it in from 6 yards.2-1 Huntly.

16 minutes on the clock Craig Donald cleared his lines and found Nathan who did brilliantly to get on the end of it and finished well past the keeper.3-1.

Huntly now doing what they do best and testing the oppositions back line were unlucky not to have another goal when Gavin hit a shot from 20 yards only to have it tipped onto the bar by the keeper.

Within a minute of Huntly being denied they were another goal to the good when Greg got on the end of a Lewis Massie corner to smash it past the keeper.4-1.

Jack Brown nearly scored with a stunning 25 yard shot but the keeper got a touch to deny him.corner for Huntly in which they made count,Jacks corner looked to be going straight in but Gavin made sure with a little touch on it.5-1.

24 minutes gone and some good running by Gavin onto Ryan who then found Nathan who had a good attempt at goal stopped by the defender who got a slight touch just to put it past the post.

28 minutes and Nathan got into a good position and headed towards goal and the defender intervened and prevented him scoring again.

Half an hour played and nearing half time,Jack found Greg on the left and he got into the box and hit both posts and saw his shot go in.6-1 Half Time.

Huntly changed to a 3-5-2 from a 4-4-2 at the start of the second half with Alex replacing Fraser and making up the 5 in midfiled.

Within 5 minutes of Alex being on he created space on the right and found himself heading towards goal and was tripped by the keeper and defender in the box and penalty awarded in which Nathan finished.7-1.

45 minutes played and Huntly won a throw and a throw that goes 30 yards is the best attacking option and somehow found its way through to Lewis and he finished well to make it 8-1.

Soon after centre Deveronvales number 7 was booked for a nasty challenge on Jack Brown resulting in Jack being taken off and replaced By Jack Stevenson in midfield.

Lewis Massie then tried his luck from 35 yards out but the keeper made a good save to stop it going in.

48 minutes played and Deveronvale were awarded a penalty when Bradley took down the striker and were awarded a penalty and they scored.8-2.

Huntly replaced Greg with Stuart on the wing at 53 minutes.

Huntly Settled things down and played some good football,and on 62 minutes took of Gavin and Nathan for Gary and Connor to freshen things up and see out the game.

Huntly completed the day when Alex got forward and into the box and finished neatly.9-2 Huntly.

Man of the match from Coaches view was Jack Brown closely followed by Bradley who is now forming a good defensive partnership with Craig at the back.

Well done to all the lads today and progressing into the 3rd round of the Trophy and now play ALC Rangers away.

Training will only be on Friday this week and will be out past ASDA at 6-45pm,hope all can make it.
