Huntly and Albion were close on points in the league table so this game was always going to be competetive from both teams point of view ,Huntly were out to better themselves this time around after being beaten in the Colony Park cup final against Albion last season 2-0 after extra time.

Huntly set out early and  created alot of chances within the first 20 minutes with good link up play from midfield forward, both Nathan and Gavin playing upfront for the first time together seemed to work well but the product was lacking, just like last week.

Jack Brown got forward alot from playing in his preferred position in centre midfield, and took on players and driving forward to help the strikers, Greg also running down the wing constantly at the defenders, but unfortunately no goals in the first half but plenty of chances created and good entertaining football.0-0 H.T.

Huntly had to step it up in the second half but within 10 minutes they found themselves chasing after some slack defending gave the Albion striker a chance on goal and as he stepped into the box Jamie Webster had to try and halt him but pulled him down or was judged to by the referee and awarded them a penalty. The striker slotted it to the right and Jamie got a good hand to it but was'nt enough to stop it going in.1-0 Albion.

Huntly had it all to do now and started creating more chances,Stuart,Greg,Gavin,Jack and Ryan all having shots on goal but nothing going our way.

Albion then had a second shout for a penalty but the referee over ruled them and waved play on,Albion then hit the post on the hour mark.

63 Minutes on the clock and finally the breakthrough Huntly wanted, good play out of midfield by Jack Brown found Ryan O'Donnell who dribbled inside his marker and shot from 12 yards but his shot hit the bar but Ryan was there to head it into the net, a technique worked on in training to follow the ball in!1-1.

Albion and Huntly both went on to attack searching for the winner but neither team could produce the finishing touches with them hitting the post with 2 minutes remaining.

Final score Huntly 1 Albion 1.

Great entertaining game.

Players of the day went to Huntlys Gavin Smart and Albions Goalkeeper.

Gavin for his awareness and excellent performance as ever and 110% work rate.Brilliant and keep it up!

Albions goalkeeper was tremendous today and made alot of crucial saves, probably 1 of the best keepers we have played.

Good performance today just need to start putting away our chances a bit better.
