Huntly were keen to add to the great result they had at the weekend against Dyce and knew Formartine was going to be a tough task.
A newly cut pitch aswell as being heavy and sloping away aswell as the rain was going to prove a tough ask of both teams.
Huntly created a few chances before Greg finally broke the deadlock after 28 minutes with a surging run from midfield and into the box and fired past the keeper.1-0 Huntly.
Half time 0-1.
Nathan for Gary was the only change at half time.
Huntly were keen to get the goals in the 2nd half and waited only 10 minutes before Jack Browndribbled past a few defenders and beat the keeper from 10 yards.good finish.2-0 Huntly.
Jack added his 2nd and Huntlys 3rd with a left foot shot into the net,3-0 full time.

Huntly have had an excellent first season in the A- League this year and finished fourth and it will be worked on through the summer and progress it into next season and hopefully do better than this year.
All players played well tonight after a long hard season and hard work and are worthy of the break now.
Positives from tonight were the debut of Paul Clark in which we see is a promising player with alot of potential and hopefully see alot more of him next season and beyond, The back four keeping the strikers at bay, Jamie keeping a clean sheet and gaining confidence in the last few games and the workrate of all players on the pitch tonight was very good in the conditions we had to play in.
And last but not least to all the parents who braved the weather at Pitmedden and supported the lads all through the season as always, you make it worth our while doing this year in year out as you all are brilliant!!

Huntly remained in third position today after a 7-1 victory over Banchory at Huntly.
Huntly today faced Formartine at a cold and windy Huntly, and were hoping for a good performance after last weeks shocking display and the players were confident aswell as us coaches they could do it today and forget about last weeks display and ran out comfortable 3-0 winners.
Huntly started the way they were asked to and were out to prove that last weeks defeat was just a one-off and get back to winning ways.
Formartine got a corner on 3 minutes in which the Huntly defence dealt with excellently and from the corner Huntly broke out and Greg's pass found Gary who ran onto the ball and pressurised the defence and managed to get the ball and lob the keeper from 20 yards,Huntly up and running.1-0.
Huntly piled on the pressure and Nathan,Lewis,Greg and Jack all had chances to get a goal but failed to hit the back of the net.
10 minutes played and some good play from midfield with great passing and vision Jack Brown dribbled down the wing and into the box beat 3 defenders and slipped it past the keeper, Brilliant finish,2-0.

Huntly had lots of possession and created alot of chances and played good attacking and passing football,some of the best this season actually.2-0 Half time.
Huntly came out second half and started as they finished with lots of possession and passing and nearly scored after 2 minutes after the restart when Gavin found Nathan who shot just wide of the post.
Gavin then saw his attempt saved by the keeper a few minutes later.
42 minutes played and Nathan scored from a corner taken by Gary from the right and put it past the keeper.3-0 and cruising,
Nathan then had an excellent shot just go over the bar when he attempted a bicycle kick from 10 yards out,would of been goal of the season contender.
55 minutes Craig,Connor and jack on, Gary,Nathan and Lewis off.
Connor nearly had his name on the scoresheet but his effort just went past the post.unlucky.

Man of the match was Sam Martin,only missed 1 challenge whole game,defended well,attacked well and read the game excellently aswell as organised defence.Brilliant energy aswell.
If anyone deserved a goal today it was Sam.
All players should be proud of today's performance, all did excellent.

A changed squad and formation but all played great in the eyes of us coaches.

Huntly travelled to Westhill today to play Westdyke in a League game which could take them up into 3rd place in the A- League if they secured all 3 points.

Huntly started well and very fast and were up 1-0 after 5 minutes
Finally a game in 2012!
A fine day in Banchory and Huntly were hoping to get a good result and pick them up in the league table.Pitch was very heavy after all the rain Banchory got last week but pitch was playable.
A sunny but cold day in Huntly for this A-League match against Westdyke.
Huntly took the lead after 6 minutes when Jack Brown scored from some good build up play from midfield and left Jack with a shot at goal in which he beat the keeper with ease.1-0.
13 minutes played and some Goalkeeper/defensive error led to Westdyke to get back in the game and the striker put it past our keeper for 1-1.
Some pressure now on Huntly and they had a few chances but just couldnt seem to make them count.
20 Minutes played and from a corner taken by Jack Brown found Lewis and his pass found Nathan and he turned the defender and beat the keeper.2-1.
Gavin had a chance to make it 3 when a cross found him in the box and he couldn't find his footing to get his shot away and put it over the bar.
28 minutes on the clock and Jack Stevenson found himself through on goal and only had the keeper to beat saw his shot hit the post.
Huntly went 3-1 up when Sam's cross found Ryan in the box and he struck it in.3-1 HT.
The second half started off with Huntly in a good position and had alot of possession but just couldn't seem to get the goals to finish the match off.
55 Minutes and Huntly found themselves struggling and Westdyke got a goal to put more pressure on us when they were awarded a free-kick at the half-way line and the striker was on hand to chip the ball over our keeper for 3-2.
68 minutes played and Huntly finally managed to get a 4th goal when Garys corner found its way swinging in at the near post and the keeper let it slip through his legs.4-2.FT
Man of the Match candidates were Sam, Ryan and Gavin.
All players played well today and Ryan and Nathan seem to be understanding each other a bit more and with time will be a great partnership up front.

Huntly travelled to Aberdeen today to play ALC Rangers in the 3rd round of the SR Wood cup and came away 11-2 winners and progress into the semi-finals of the trophy and meet Dyce.
Scorers today were Greg 4,Gavin,Jack and Gary with 2 each and Sam with 1.
Man Of The Match was Greg Morrison for his 4 goals and excellent performance again.

Next weeks training is at Keith at the astro turf,Tracksuits and strips to be worn as team photos to be taken and trainers must also be worn.
Next sundays game(11-12-11) is away to Albion in the 2nd round of the Eddie Mannell Trophy, details to follow later.
