Monday 10 October
Forres Mechanics v Huntly

Steve Paterson
"In the first forty-five we played really well and everything went in. It was one of those days but obviously in the second half it was just a case of shutting up shop, although I did say to the players that you have to keep going at it.

"You have to remember the opposition are hurting and they are going to keep going in an attempt to salvage their pride and they managed a bit of that in the second half, they wont he second half but obviously the first half performance was something else.

"We came into the game feeling confident having played really well at Elgin against a strong team and today has just been an extension of that but we are in a rich vein of form.

"Campbell got two and his second strike was brilliant. He got man of the match and his game is really starting to come on really well. It is good having two players from midfield in Campbell and Mackay who are both capable of scoring goals.

"Obviously I am happy to have got such a convincing victory. I thought it would have been a tight game but it has turned out to be a comfortable day for us and it keeps our momentum going.

"Charlie Brown is obviously a player who scores 25-30 goals regularly in the Highland League and he had been bothered with niggling injuries during my first wee while here but he is certainly back now an scoring in every other game which can only be good for us.

"It has been a fine week for us, playing Lossie and getting a good result, beating Elgin and getting into a final then winning today to get ourselves in a good position in the league. It is just a case now of keeping up the good work because we have got tough game after tough game for the next five or six weeks."

Billy Anderson
"We missed important players today didn't we. It?s a massively blow losing Taylor in the warm up but also defensively we lost one of our main players as well and we seemed to be disorganised.

"To be beaten by one long ball you learn and get the next one but we got beat by three today. We started quite well but we were chasing the game for ever more. We had reasonable possession but it wasn't good enough, it was certainly no where near good enough.

"You can get beat but if you don't give everything you have got it is just not good enough. The second half was a wee bit better but nowhere near as good. Forres played well but we had no cohesion and the back four were miles apart from each other.

"To me we didn't want it enough they certainly wanted it more than us."
