Monday 3 October
Huntly v Cove Rangers
Billy
Anderson
"It was a dour first half but we had the majority of the game
and I don't think they created anything. The goals they got you
couldn't really call that created. How many chances did we miss?
When you don't put in the second one when you are on top in the
game that?s how you end up.
"At 1-0 we had a heap of chances to make it two or three nil
and that would have been the game out of site. Five yards out and
trickling the ball back to the keeper is not good enough. This is
not one point gained as we battered them in the second half.
"It is going to be a tough league but we need to win our home
games when you have so much of the game and we had enough chances
to win the game. We were top scorers last season but it has been
like that against Buckie, Fraserburgh and now Cove. Looking back
there has only been one league game where we didn?t function well
and that was against Nairn."
John
Sheran
"I thought the players showed a lot of character and the fighting
spirit is there to be seen. I don't think we player particularly
well today but we got there in the end and certainly we were pleased
to get a point out of it.
"I think we were just building up some momentum when we scored
as they were trying to sit in a bit so we felt we deserved something
out of the game and we stuck it away.
"We felt they were dominating us physically a wee bit, their
two centre halfs were dominating us and their two centre midfielders
were dominating us and we weren't getting in about them so certainly
bringing on Colin Milne helped with the physical presence aspect
of it and it wasn't very pretty but we got their in the end."
