Monday 8 August
Buckie Thistle v Huntly
Duncan
Shearer
GT: What did you make of today's game?
DS: "It was one of these games. You could see right from the
first ten to fifteen minutes that there wasn?t going to be much
in it. I suppose I am going to be the happier as we played thirty
minutes with ten men.
"We hit the bar twice and they had two good chances themselves
so overall I would say it was a fair result. I didn't think we played
at the tempo we can play at, I felt there was more in the tank than
that.
GT: John Coutts made a bit of a difference when he came on.
DS: "He did but he is still not fully fit. I am well aware
that there is a long way to go in the season and I didn't want to
start him in case there was a flare up of his injury but I knew
the way things were going he was the kind of person that might produce
that wee bit of magic and the game needed it.
Billy
Anderson
GT: Are you disappointed with a point or happy with it?
BA: "We dominated the game for ninety minutes and had numerous
chances but if you don't take your chances when you are on top in
games that?s what happens. How many "clean through" chances
do you need in a game to win it?
"But having said that there will be a lot of teams who come
here and find it difficult. Our back five played well and the whole
team did but we didn't take our chances. There are always going
to be breakaways but I felt that we should have won the game.
"Shallicker will be available after his one match and Taylor
is back now but it is still two points lost today as when you are
on top of games you need to win them."
