Player Movement Halted / Changes At The Top

Following stories in the press and online earlier today that goalkeeper Ross Bremner has joined Formartine United, Huntly FC have released the following statement.

“Due to the Manager’s departure from the club this afternoon, Huntly FC notified Formartine United that all transfer listed players movement and ongoing negotiations were suspended until further notice.

Once we have a new Manager in place he can then speak to entire squad including those currently transfer listed to see who is all in his future plans.”

Off the field there have been further changes with Director John Smith voted in as acting Chairman while Andy Troup has stepped down from his previous role as vice-chairman and Director of Football to take up a new post of Managing Director.

John Smith himself said: “I’m delighted to have been given the chance to become the acting Chairman. As you can see there are going to be a lot of changes within the clubs in the next few weeks. I’d just like to thank the rest of the board and committee for their continued support.”
