Transfer News: Full Backs Listed, Player of the Year Pens New Deal

With Huntly's season having ended only four days ago, the club have already begun planning for 2008/09 with two players wanting out and another committing himself himself to the club long term.

Following the black and golds defeat to Nairn County full backs Neil Murray and Andy Bisset has expressed a desire to leave Christie Park.

Right back Murray (23) joined the club in March 2007 from Buckie Thistle having previously played under Dave Cormie at Formartine United. Murray was a member of the side which lifted the challenge cup back and despite some heavy criticsm from some section of the home support put in some impressive performance weighing in with a number of assists and netting his only goal for the club in a 2-1 league cup quarter-final win at Rothes.
Neil's final appearance to date was the season finale at home to Nairn where he was taken off at half-time.

Also looking to leave the club is left back Andy Bisset. The 24 year old originally joined the club on a short term deal in September 2006 after spells with Inverurie Loco Works and Formartine United. Andy returned to Christie Park in July 2007 and scored his only goal in the 3-2 Aberdeenshire Shield defeat to Buckie Thistle but an ankle problem put an early end to his season in mid-April.

While two want out, one key member of the side has chosen to stay beyond his current deal.

Captain Michael Morrison has chosen to extend his current deal to 2011.

Big Mo has had an impressive debut seasaon with the club becoming the first man since Dave Morland in 1999 to captain the team to a cup final victory, his scoring feats this season saw him find the back of the net 11 times to finish the club third top scorer for the season and he capped off an impressive display by picking both Huntly FC player of the year and the Supporters Club player of the year awards this past Saturday.
