Huntly Target Jags Duo
thanks to highlandleague.net
Highland League Champions Huntly FC have launched a daring double
bid for Buckie Thistle stars John Coutts and Neil Davidson as they
look to bolster their squad for the title defence.
Boss Billy Anderson has identified those two as players
he feels can bring something to his current squad and hopes that
a deal can be done to bring them to Christie Park.
He said, "Coutts did very well in the last game
of the season where he scored two and Taylor scored two. He is very
lively and has an excellent left foot so he is the sort of quality
addition you need when you have just won the title. I am sure that
if they were both playing for Huntly they would cause most defences
a lot of problems."
"Zico
was a player that Alan Scott and I brought to Buckie as a talented
young player. We gave him his chance and he has continued to develop
into a skilful, but aggressive player who would probably score a
dozen goals a season in our side."
"I have always liked the guy's attitude on the
park and he is a nice guy off it as well and he would fit in perfectly
with the excellent team spirit at Huntly. We are a very ambitious
team and we want to do what no team either than Huntly has done
for probably twenty years and that is to win back-to-back titles
but we have to take in the right calibre of player to do that. John
Coutts and Zico Davidson are players of that calibre and we will
be doing everything we can to bring them on board."
