It seems very strange to be writing a message regarding the excitement that comes with the start off a new season in November rather than in the middle of the summer but due to the unprecedented times we are living in, that is the situation Highland League clubs are in.

Although we have had an extended break from competitive action, there has been a lot of activity going on behind the scenes over the past eight or so months since the 2019/2020 season was stopped and as a club, we are looking forward to getting back to competitive action.

The management team have been working tirelessly since they joined us in June.  It has been challenging at times to tweak the squad given the unknown timelines around the season starting and the financial uncertainty that COVID has caused – credit to Allan Hale and his team for the exciting additions they have made and all the hard work they have put in to date.

I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our new signings and wish the team the very best of luck on the pitch for the season ahead!

In a normal, non-COVID season we face challenges (as many clubs within the Highland League do) to balance the books during what are often difficult economic times with limited resources available but this year has been even harder.  However, as a Board we have been working very hard to maximise revenue generation and consolidate costs.  I would like to thank all the sponsors that have committed their support for the season ahead and also the management team and playing staff for their understanding and willingness to work with the club as we looked to manage costs.

As a club, Huntly FC are nothing without our loyal fans.  We would obviously prefer to wait and welcome you all back into Christie Park to enjoy the games, but it was decided by the SHFL to get competitive football back on Highland League pitches as soon as possible.  Please rest assured that plans are in place to get our fans back into the ground in a safe and responsible manner as soon as we get the go ahead.

Whilst we wait for the return of fans, you can still help us via the donate a ticket scheme:

Thank you all for your continued support and understanding in these challenging times and we cannot wait to welcome you back to Christie Park when it is deemed safe to do so!
