A warm welcome to you all to today’s match and an especially warm welcome to all our far travelled friends from Fort William.
I know many Aberdeenshire clubs like to moan about travelling to places such as Wick, Brora etc. but seldom consider the thousands of miles covered every year by teams and supporters of clubs such as today's visitors. I for one have a huge amount of admiration and respect for their commitment to Highland league football and long may it continue.
Last week's defeat to Keith was a sore one to take, but i think it has to be viewed in the context of much improved performances over the last few weeks and of course that we were without seven players for one reason and another. I must say that almost all supporters that i have spoken to believe the quality of the football we are now watching is vastly superior to that we have witnessed in the last couple of years and i am certainly enjoying Saturday afternoons much more these days.
Off the park, you will have noticed we recently appointed Mark Allan to the board of directors and i am delighted to add him to the team. Mark has been involved at the club for many years and has recently been working hard in our events organising team. Mark will be responsible for the ground infrastructure going forward and has already put together an ambitious program of improvements.
We are now looking forward to our annual boxing dinner on the 31st March and with it being close to a sell-out, another excellent night is in prospect.
It only leaves me to wish an enjoyable afternoon with us today and thanks again for your support.
