A warm welcome to you all to today’s match and a special warm welcome to our friends from Fort William.  Due to weather interference, we now play Fort William in back to back Saturday’s and I am sure a couple of good competitive games lie before us as well as the always pleasurable trip to enjoy the fantastic hospitality of today’s guests.

Whilst we still have two games left to play away to Clach and Fort William, today marks the end of the home season and it has certainly been a challenging one for us, at least from an on the park perspective.  There have been many changes in the course of the season both in Management and playing personnel and perhaps the lack of stability has worked against us. However, I do like to reflect that in the last 6-8 weeks we have started to see some progress on the park with one or two better results and hopefully that is a sign of things to come.

I think the one bright light in the whole season has been the progress of our youth development structure and the progress of three of our youth team players into the first team. Our very young under 17 team has done very well in its development league and the management team there have identified 5 or 6 players who have a real potential to break through into the under 20’s and indeed first team in the not too distant future.  I would like to take this opportunity just to thank Charlie Ferries, Charlie Duncan and Chris Baird for all their work during the course of the year and helping to continue to develop our young players into potential first team players.

Off the park, our Commercial Team continue to work tremendously hard with some excellent sponsorship and commercial deals concluded as well as continuing to make our corporate hospitality packages on a Saturday highly marketable and a very beneficial source of income for the Club.  Today we have almost 150 in our corporate hospitality which is remarkable and I would think unique throughout the entire Highland League.  Pride of place is celebrity guest for today John Henderson, professional darts player, and he and a group of friends are celebrating his forthcoming wedding.  I take this opportunity to wish John all the very best on that front and of course his continued highly successful career on the professional darts circuit.

It only leaves me now to thank you all very much for all the support during the season both at the ground and of our commercial activities.  I do look forward to seeing you again next season or indeed at any of our events in the close season, helping to raise funds for the Club.  I hope you have an enjoyable final home game afternoon with us and look forward to seeing you again next season.”
