We are please to announce that a third player in as many weeks has signed a new contract extension.

Full back Alexander Jack has put pen to paper on a new one year deal to stay at the club until summer 2021.

Jack (28) is in his third season at the club having originally debuted back in January 2018 under Charlie Charlesworth making 58 appearances and scoring one goal.

The former Keith and Deveronvale player felt it was an easy decision to make.

He said: “It’s a good deal for me we train locally to where I’m based and I don’t have to travel too far for games either.

I have the belief in myself that I should be playing when I’m fit and I know I just have to keep giving one hundred percent. Whether it’s playing multiple position, I don’t mind, I’ve been used to that over the last eight or nine years.”

Manager Martin Skinner was pleased to get Jack signed up for another year

He said: “We all know what he brings to the club and he’s a player I really like. He’s got that attitude that you want everyone to have, he’s hard-working, will graft for the team and like a number of players he can play in multiple positions.

It was key that we got him re-signed, he’s well-liked in the squad. He missed a bit towards the end of last season and the start of this season with an ankle injury but since he’s returned, he’s given us more experience and bring solidity to the back four as a consistent performer”.
