The club have been handed a signing boost today with the extension of one loan signing.

Buckie Thistle and Huntly have finalised a deal to extend Declan Milne’s loan at the club until the end of the season.

Manager Martin Skinner was pleased to get Milne, who is Huntly’s top scorer on eight goals signed for the rest of 2019/20.

“Declan has been playing as good as he’s been for some while; he’s chipping in with goals and his link-up play has showed what a good player he’s been for us.

He gives us something different in attack and he’s well-liked within the club both on and off the pitch. We’re pleased to get a deal sorted with Buckie Thistle to extend his loan until the end of the season.”

Milne (22) Has enjoyed his time at Huntly so far since scoring on his debut against Inverurie Loco Works back in September and he’s pleased to extend his time at the club

“I came here to get back playing regular, get some game time and obviously score goals and the hard work is paying off. It was only right for me to decide to stay until the end of the season and keep my form going.”

Declan admitted since coming in it’s been good to be part of a young squad which also contains some former team mates.

“I’ve played with Kai Ross and Craig Dorrat before at Buckie and the rest of the players have welcomed me into the squad.  Things are going in the right direction, it’s a young squad, I’m maybe a bit older than some at 22 and we all know we need to keep working hard.”
