Huntly FC today announced a further addition to their board of directors when they confirmed that Stuart Moir had been appointed.

Mr Moir, (36), is a business development manager within the oil and gas industry based in Aberdeen and will become part of the commercial arm of the club along with existing commercial director Tom Christie.

Chairman George Clark confirmed the appointment

“I have known Stuart for some time now, both as a friend and as a regular supporter at Christie Park. In addition, Stuart has been assisting with a number of our commercial projects and corporate hospitality in an unofficial capacity. I was immediately impressed by his enthusiasm for all things Huntly FC  so it was the next logical step to get him on board in an official capacity. As well as being a warm and extremely personable young man, he will bring a new skill-set and contact base to the Club, which will be a valuable asset for many years to come.”

Stuart was delighted to accept the offer of a place on the board.

"It is a real pleasure to join the board of Huntly Football Club; there has been a tremendous effort over recent years by the existing board to rebuild and bring stability to the club.

I look forward to contributing to the commercial success that Huntly FC already enjoy and I truly believe we can expand and grow this success further. This in turn will deliver opportunities to strengthen on the footballing side of the club and see Huntly FC back winning trophies!”
