After securing their first summer signing Dennis Wyness on Saturday morning, Huntly have moved to sign one of his former Buckie Thistle team mates.

The club have today completed the signing of the versatile Stuart Hodge on a one year contract.

After leaving Aberdeen’s youth setup in 2012, Hodge (20) spent four seasons at Buckie Thistle making 71 squad appearances and also spent two loan spells at Rothes.

Speaking on his latest arrival, Co-Manager Mark Gray said: “Stuart’s a player who came recommended to us by his former Manager Gary Hake. He came into the league with Buckie as a forward but over the last season or two he’s shown he can play in a number of different roles at full back or in midfield. He was very keen to sign for us and he’s got a point to prove at this level.”
