Buckie Thistle came from behind to make their numerical advantage count with a 4-2 win over a Huntly side which had two players, a coach and a substitute red carded.

The Jags are now unbeaten in their last seven league fixtures with graemestewartManager Graeme Stewart (left) pleased to get the win despite not playing as well as he’d wished.

He said: “That’s probably one of our poorer performances, the first half was very poor from us but we were able to keep our discipline in the second half and that helped us get the result. I said I wasn’t happy at half-time and we got the goals in the second half and to bear fair we should’ve scored more.

After the sending’s-off, guys like Andrew MacAskill were good in that situation when you’ve got extra players as he can hold onto the ball and created a lot for us.”

It was back-to-back away defeats for Huntly with Manager MartinSkinnerMartin Skinner (right) disappointed with how things ended for his side.

He said: “I’m really disappointed on how the game finished, for sixty minutes I thought we were deserving of the draw after a poor start. we put ourselves in a good position to get something from the game. We then made wrong choices at crucial times which gave them the swing of the game.

I’m not normally one to have a go at officials, not denying all the cards but for me certain situations were completely avoidable and should have been better dealt with.

In the end we have to dust ourselves down as we a game Wednesday which we have to make sure we compete properly to get anything from the game.”
