It was the very first time I had personally seen Huntly in a Cup Final, and it was also the clubs’ first cup final for some time.
It was played at Christie Park, as back then the Aberdeenshire Cup Final was hosted by one of the Clubs who were actually in the final, rather than at a neutral venue, as it is nowadays.
Huntly won the Cup by beating Deveronvale 4 - 0.
The first of many Huntly Trophy wins that I have personally seen over the years.
